3D animation and still image renderings
I utilised photogrammetry 3D assets to accompany my modelled assets to composite the scene.
I scattered 3D trees around the green fields using weight map painting and allowed for size variance to add realism. I then added animated people and vehicles to complete the scene.
Software and skills used: Blender, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, 3D modelling, UV texture editing, video compositing
Cross section of a tidal lagoon wall
(Placeholder text, please excuse the layman terminologies!!!) The tidal lagoon is a power station that generates electricity from the natural rise and fall of the tides. Tidal lagoons work in a similar way to tidal barrages by capturing a large volume of water behind a man-made structure which is then released to drive turbines and generate electricity.
Augmented Reality and browser-based 3D content
My plans from the beginning were to use the same 3D models for the video/image renderings as wells as for webAR. With this in mind, I made sure the models can be switched from high-poly to low-poly models.
Low-poly models are utilised for browser-based deployment and augmented reality experiences on iOS and Android mobile devices.
Then I added interactive elements such as the text boxes and user camera control.
Software and skills used: Blender, Photoshop, Apple Reality Composer, Google model-viewer web-component, 3D modelling, UV texture editing, HTML and CSS coding
